The Marion County Farm Bureau (CFB) held its 107th Annual Meeting on Monday, November 10th at the First Christian Church in Salem with approximately 150 members and guests in attendance. Highlights from the meeting included reports from the organization’s officers, staff, committees, and a couple special presentations.
In addition to his annual address, President Steven Brummel recognized this year’s ten (10) Foundation Scholarship recipients that received a total of $17,750 for the 2025-26 school year. Brummel also recognized five (5) organizations from the county that were selected to receive a total of $3,750 from the Farm Bureau’s 4th annual “Community Impact Grant” program in 2025. The Marion County Farm Bureau again offered this grant program to create partnerships with other county groups and organizations on various projects that would improve our communities.
Directors elected to serve 3-year terms from their respective districts were: Andrew Headley (District 1), Rolland Vandeveer (District 2), Andrew Richardson (District 3), Gary McConnaughhay (District 4), and Michael Malone (At-Large).
We appreciate our members coming out to join us as we conducted our annual business meeting and celebrated the successes of the organization from the past year. We would also like to thank Louis Aldag and COUNTRY Financial Agents Jeret Smith and Tony Etnier for donating door prizes and all our members for their support this past year.
