Marion County Farm Bureau Announces 2025 Community Impact Grant Recipients

Marion County Farm Bureau Announces 2025 Community Impact Grant Recipients

The Marion County Farm Bureau’s 4th annual “Community Impact Grant” program sought to identify projects that would improve our communities and create partnerships with other groups and organizations to make them happen.  The grant program continued to have a good response in our fourth year, receiving five (5) applications that requested $22,000.  All five projects were awarded grant funds this year, but a few of the larger requests were only able to receive partial funding due to program budget restrictions.

The five (5) projects awarded grant funding for 2025 include:

  • Hunters Feeding Illinois was awarded $1,000 to help cover processing fees for deer donated through the program that helps provide ground venison to county food pantries.
  • Salem Department of Emergency Management was awarded $1,000 toward the cost of a new thermal drone system to assist county first responders.
  • Harvey’s Point Christian Church was awarded $750 to assist with the replacement of the HVAC system in the church’s fellowship hall.
  • Friends of the Bryan Bennett Library in Salem was awarded $500 to sponsor the presenter fee for the library’s “Mad Science” Summer Kids Program.
  • The Isaac Hull Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) was awarded $500 toward new signage to display, promote, and educate at their activities and events in Marion County.

Congratulations to all recipients of Marion CFB’s 2025 “Community Impact Grant” program!  We appreciate the opportunity to work with great organizations and individuals on projects to improve our communities and look forward to seeing them make a difference.

To-date, the Marion CFB has awarded $17,000 in grant funding for 25 community projects.
