Marion County Farm Bureau was recently recognized for its outstanding programing during the 110th Annual Meeting of the Illinois Farm Bureau.
Excellence Awards are given to counties with the most outstanding project for each program area. A gold, silver, and bronze Excellence Award was given in each membership group (counties of similar membership size) and program area. The eight program areas are: Ag Literacy, Farm Income and Development, Health and Safety, Advocacy, Local Affairs, Engagement and Outreach, Membership Value and Foundations and Fundraising.
Marion County Farm Bureau was recently awarded in five of the eight program areas, including the following projects:
Membership Value (Gold) – FFA Jacket & 4-H Project Grant
Engagement & Outreach (Silver) – Community Grants with Impact
Advocacy (Bronze) – Adopted Legislator Efforts
Local Affairs (Bronze) – “Allies in Agriculture” (Bicentennial Style)
Local Affairs (Bronze) – Exploring Carbon Capture & Storage
Brad Hester, Andy Headley, and Steven Brummel represented Marion County as Delegates to the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting on Monday, December 9th at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
